What would be considered my motorcycles birthday?

motorcycles
Firecracker . asked:

Would it be the day it left the assembly line?
The day it arrived at the dealership?
Or is it the day I bought it and rode it home?
Pedro, I care.
Picky semantics, nobody gave birth but it breathes, drinks and farts.
While the day it came off the line makes sense, the delivery day is more emotional. I didn’t name my kids when they came home, but I did on their delivery day. So, thanks to all for putting up with my lighthearted crap. It looks like we’ll go with July 1st. Time to make some brownies. (More substance than cake.)

Butters asked:

Not for enduro or for racing. Just commuting and cruising. Rule out location. Say you lived by every dealership with an equal distance from your home. But were on a limited budget and never rode a motorcycle before. But you do have your knowledge and experience.

Say you choose Honda. (For example)

Why is it more reliable than Yamaha (example)

Thanks a lot. I’ve been saving up. It seems like gear alone is a huge investment.

I was just wondering. Anyone I’ve ever talked to said they had to stop riding after a few hours because it was so uncomfortable that they couldn’t stand it. Are Ducati bikes the same way?

What bike would be better? The Sabre is a regular cruiser a la HD but a Metric.
The Nighthawk was a standard.
The Sabre is an 1100 and is the right size. It just causes pain. I have taken to wearing a back belt and put on a Mustang seat. The riding isn’t too painful, but the after effects are.
